New Ethical Toy Program WeChat Account Strengthens Factory Communications in China

The Ethical Toy Program is excited to announce our new official account on WeChat, launched to extend our communication and engagement with factories in China.  WeChat is China's most popular social media channel and has over 938 million active users around the world.

WeChat's mobile application combines messaging and other functionality. Our WeChat Account is available to all toy factory management. Please scan the QR code below or search for us using our ID “ICTI_EthicalToy” to follow our WeChat account.

The Ethical Toy Program will use WeChat to connect with factory management, sharing learning resources for factories, details of Ethical Toy Program news and events, guidance on Ethical Toy Program policies, best practice on audit requirements and upcoming factory training sessions - helping to make our comprehensive support accessible to all.

“We are excited to launch our official account on WeChat. This builds on our use of other social media including Twitter, Linkedin, YouTube, and Youku. We want our new WeChat account to become a useful communication platform between the Ethical Toy Program and factory management, and I encourage all factories in the Ethical Toy Program to follow us on WeChat,” said Mark Robertson, Director of Communications & Stakeholder Relations at Ethical Toy Program.

Sarah Ng, former Corporate Communications Manager at Ethical Toy Program, commented "Factories are always looking for resources to leverage their compliance standards and are eager to learn. WeChat will enable us to share best practice – and many other helpful news and resources – to keep our factories informed.”

If you have any questions about our new WeChat account or suggestions for factory resources you would like the Ethical Toy Program team to share via WeChat, please email Wendy Choi at
