(updated on 4th Feb)In response to the government's call to strengthen the prevention and control of the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, ICTI Ethical Toy Program (IETP) understands that accredited audit firms and factories may need to implement special work arrangements and some businesses may resume operation later than planned, therefore, it may affect the progress of their certification. Special Arrangements from IETPThe first audit date after Chinese New Year will be postponed for a week, previously this was the 10th of Feb, now this is the 17th of Feb 2020. IETP and accredited firms continue to monitor the latest work and transportation arrangements announced by different provinces and cities to make adequate adjustments. IETP postpones First Audit Day after Chinese New Year:IETP accredited audit firms ceased onsite audits for Chinese New Year on the 10th Jan 2020, this period will now end on 16th Feb 2020, one week later than originally scheduled. Further adjustments may be required according to the work and transportation arrangements announced by different provinces and cities. What do I need to do?IETP has already identified all factories directly affected and our designated staff will be contacting management at these factories to discuss the situation and how it will affect them. Factories that have paid the audit fees but plan to resume work after the 17th of Feb, please email the assigned audit firm and info@ethicaltoyprogram.org for special arrangements.
